The new FX-12 Walk-Through Weapons Detector keeps concealed ferrous (iron and steel) weapons-like guns, knives and razor blades-out of security sensitive areas and public events. Four sensitive magnetometers in the FX-12 walk-through frame scan for hidden ferrous items as small as the spring or hammer in a composite handgun.

And it’s affordable. The FX-12 sells for about half as much as most other walk-through weapons detectors. And the FX-12 offers more features. Like portability. The FX-12 breaks down and fits into two, hard-shell cases that fit into the trunk of most cars. Both cases weigh only 55 lbs.

And it’s easy to use. One person can set up the FX-12 in only about 10 minutes. Disassembly and storage in its two cases also takes only about 10 minutes.

The new FX-12 Walk-Through Weapons Detector from Fisher Research Laboratory fits into two hard-shell cases and weights just 55lbs. (25kg).		The Fisher CW-10 Hand-Held Weapons Detector is an optional accessory that's designed to be used with the FX-12 Walk-Through Metal Detector.  It fits into a special cutout space in the FX-12 foam-lined case.

WARNING  The FX-12 only detects objects containing iron or steel. The FX-12 will not detect objects made of copper, brass, aluminum, plastic or wood. Some objects may not be detected because of their composition (e.g. certain alloys), size and location on the subject. If an undetected object passes through the FX-12, that object may be used to cause injury or death.

WARNING  The FX-12 should only be used by persons trained to use the FX-12 who have a thorough understanding of its operation. If a user of the FX-12 does not follow the operating manual, the FX-12 may not detect guns, knives, or other iron or steel objects. Those undetected objects may be used as a weapon in a secure area to cause injury or death.
